Commercial Sector. Conversion to LED Lighting – London 2013

A prestigious riverside development overlooking the River Thames had a requirement to reduce energy consumption and maintenance cost for lighting the landlord’s area for each of the seven floors and four stairs cases.

LSLCo were able to reuse all of the 310 existing chrome up-lighting bodies, of which 60 had 3 hour non-maintained emergency packs. By removing the existing twin PL 9W lamps and control whilst designing a new plate to match the exiting fixing points; LSLCo converted these uplighters with 6Watt LED lights and for the emergency fittings a 3Watt LED emergency pack as well, all in one neat plate.

The client estimates reduced energy consumption equating to some £800 a year and an annual maintenance cost by £900 a year. Furthermore, the client was delighted that the exiting bodies could be reused and stay in situ while the refurbishment was being completed thereby avoiding the requirement for any immediate redecoration of the common areas and saving further cost had they installed new light fittings.
